Six Flags Great Adventure Halloween Tradition
With Halloween just around the corner, Six Flags Great Adventure will raise the dead to celebrate “The Northeast’s Largest Halloween Party” with its 18th annual Fright Fest Presented by SNICKERS®. In addition to the world-class line-up of thrill rides, the theme park will transform into a 140-acre “scream park” with additional themed shows and attractions. Amid thousands of mums, cornstalks, hay bales, cobwebs and oversize spiders, guests can roam the haunted midways and encounter “thrills by day, chills by night” entertainment. The month-long celebration will run Friday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays Oct. 3 through Nov. 1, plus Columbus Day Oct. 12. Call 732-928-1821 or visit their website:

The Planetarium At Raritan Valley Community College
The Planetarium at Raritan Valley Community College will present the following programs for Halloween 2009:
Spooky Skies: October 24 & 31, 3 & 7 p.m.
Ghosts and goblins have nothing on the scary stuff in outer space–like poisonous Venus, explosive supernovas and massive black holes.
Fright Light: October 24 & 31, 4 & 8 p.m.; October 25 & November 1, 3 p.m.
Enjoy a Halloween laser concert featuring such songs as “Alive” by Meatloaf and “Thriller” by Michael Jackson.
The 4 pm show is halloween themed, in the dark and may not be suitable for very young or easily scared visitors.
The 8 p.m. show contains more frightening content and is appropriate for audiences ages 13 and older.
Reservations are recommended for all shows. Cost is $6 per person for 1 show; $11 per person for two shows on the same day.

Guests at Seaview Resort will be treated to a spectacular Haunted Hallo-weekend on Friday, Oct. 31 and Saturday, Nov. 1.
